Kitchen project

It is finally time to start decorating the tops of my kitchen cabinets and all I know is that it needs to coordinate with the wine theme we have going on in the living room. I was so excited today when my husband and I went to the Home Goods store in Stockton. This was the first time visiting Home Goods and I immediately fell in love. I found one item below that inspired my first kitchen project. It was originally supposed to go on top of the kitchen cabinets, but ended up being too tall. So the location of my project will now be on one of my kitchen countertops. Below are pictures of the items used in the project.

Miniture wire wheelbarrow (misspelling?)

2 strands of greenery from Michaels.

Bunches of grapes with more of a cranberry color, which are also from Michaels.

The finished project!

  1. VERY cute idea!!! I love how you were able to incorporate the item someplace else in your house. And of coarse, I am anxious to see it up close and personal.

  2. Nice start! I think it needs more wine, but of course I say that about everything! ;)

  3. That's so fantastic! I'm excited that you're doing the tops of your kitchen cabinets too. That was such a scary project for me--I had no idea how to proceed. Then I got a color scheme(cream/white/taupe)(hmmm, are those even colors?) and theme (pedestal cake plates) and went with it. Home Goods (why oh why don't we have one near us???) and TJ Maxx were my best friends. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Even though this couldn't fit above your cabinets, it's still an awesome thing you put together for the countertop.
