Soooooo I attempted a blog at the beginning of the year and have failed to post anything ever since then. It is not that there is a lack of interest in blogging, but I think the biggest hurdle for me is finding something to talk about that may captivate my readers. So at my second attempt, I am not going to focus on being captivating (which I have already accomplished with my husband) but am just going to write whatever seems to come to mind without any added pressure from myself. Wish me luck that I make it to another post after this!
This next post is going to be about my adorable chocolate lab so if you are one of those people that think pets are just pets (mom), then you may not want to read any further. Eric and I feel super blessed to have Cocoa in our lives. Yes we argue about the spelling of his name. Eric says his name is spelled Coco and I argue that it is spelled with an "a" at the end. Google it if you want, but I think I am right on this one. Good thing that the phrasing of the spellings are the same, otherwise we may have a very confused dog.
So we got Cocoa a little over 2 years ago. It is hard to believe that he was ever so little.

This picture was probably taken when he was about 3 months old. I have to look at this pictures every now and then and remember what it was like to hold him and have him fit in my arms.
This is a picture of Cocoa when he about a year old. Isn't he the most beautiful chocolate lab you have ever seen? As you can see, I wouldnt' be able to lift Cocoa for the life of me, but he is the perfect size for hugs.

Now here is a picture of our little family. I know, I know... he's just a dog, but Cocoa is so much more to us. He is a way of practicing parenthood before we have babies. We have to feed him, bathe him, clean up his poopies, and spend quality time with him on a daily basis. The greastest part is that he is always excited to see us. He is always ready to give a big kiss and run around the backyard to show his excitement.
The thing I looked forward to most of each evening, is when Eric and I take Cocoa for a walk. It is time for us to spend quality time together, have uninterrupted conversation, and plan for the future. I love planning and dreaming about our future together.
