I am excited to share that I have been keeping up with the 5k/pushup challenge. I know it has only been a week, but that is huge for me. One week down and 4 to go for the 5k portion. I am feeling good and already noticing a difference in my body after one week. I haven't weighed myself yet because that isn't my goal. The goal is to run 3.1 miles (5k) with no rest and complete 100 pushups in a row. The benefits of reaching my goal will hopefully show on the scale but I am not focusing on that at this point in time because if I don't see results on the scale, I will more likely quit the challenges. So here is the breakdown since the last time I blogged:
Day 4 (Thursday) - Run/Walk 15 min
Day 5 (Friday) - Pushups
Set 1 - 6
Set 2 - 8
Set 3 - 6
Set 4 - 6
Set 5 - maximum amount of pushups (at least 7) - I was able to finish out with 12.
Day 6 (Saturday) - Run/Walk 25 min
Day 7 (Sunday) - Pushups
Set 1 - 8
Set 2 - 10
Set 3 - 7
Set 4 - 7
Set 5 - maximum amount of pushups (at least 10) - I was able to finish out with 15.
Sorry if these updates are boring, but they are keeping me on track. I have announced my challenges into bloggerspace and feel like I have some accountability. I appreciate any encouragement!
